π Vocabulary Trainer
The full GregMat vocabulary set β 960 high-frequency GRE words in 32 groups β with flashcards, quizzes, and built-in spaced repetition. You don't memorize a list by re-reading it; you memorize it by recalling each word right before you'd forget it. That's exactly what this does.
π― How to use it (the method that actually works)
- Learn a group with Flashcards β see the word, try to recall the meaning, then reveal and rate yourself honestly.
- Test recall with the Quiz (multiple choice) and the reverse Definition β word mode. Learned only some of a group so far? Use Test learned to quiz just the words you've already studied before moving on.
- Clear your βdueβ reviews every day β spaced repetition brings each word back at the perfect moment. Missed words return sooner; known words return later.
- Short and daily beats long and rare. 15β20 minutes every day will move far more words into memory than a weekend cram.

3The 32 word groups
Every group is open β start anywhere. The GregMat groups are already roughly ordered by usefulness, so working 1 β 32 is a sensible path. Aim to keep ~2β3 groups βin flightβ at once rather than racing ahead.

β‘ Drill in spare minutes on your phone
This trainer is your structured base, but vocabulary sticks fastest when you review in tiny bursts throughout the day β in line, on transit, between tasks. Pair this with a phone app so you never waste those minutes:
- Anki (free on Android/desktop, paid on iOS) β import a shared βGregMatβ or βGREβ deck and its algorithm handles the scheduling. The most powerful option.
- Magoosh GRE Vocabulary Builder β a free, friendly flashcard app with a curated high-frequency list. Great for beginners.
Use the phone for daily reps; use this site for structured learning, quizzes, and tracking which words are still weak.
